Your 7 ¾ inches around nine ounces strong baby is surrounded by a protective white substance, called vernix caseosa. Vernix protects your baby’s skin from the irritating effects of amniotic fluid. It also helps baby throughout the birth procedure during labor pains. Your baby has begun the procedure of generating meconuim, baby’s first stool that he/she may pass during or after delivery.
If your second trimester ultrasound is due this week, then there are chances that you might come to know the gender of your baby.
